Plan for Coffee ("we", "us") helps families find kids' activities and coffee nearby. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Account details — your email address and an encrypted password if you create an account.
  • Your content — saved places, recent searches, shared plans and place suggestions you submit.
  • Location — addresses or ZIP codes you type, and your device location only if you tap "Use my current location". We do not track your location in the background.
  • On your device — your in-progress plan, saved places and a daily search counter are stored in your browser's local storage.
  • Technical data — basic logs (such as browser type and errors) used to keep the service working.

How we use it

  • To show places, build plans and keep your saved items across devices.
  • To send account emails such as confirmations and password resets.
  • To prevent abuse, fix problems and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising.

Sharing

Plans you choose to share are visible to anyone with the link. We use service providers to run the site, including hosting and database providers and Google Maps Platform for maps, place details, photos and ratings. Searches and locations you enter are sent to Google to return results, subject to the Google Privacy Policy. We may disclose information if required by law.

Children

Plan for Coffee is meant for parents and caregivers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Retention and security

We keep account data while your account is active. Cached map coordinates are deleted within 30 days. We use encryption in transit and access controls, but no method of storage is 100% secure.

Your choices and rights

You can delete saved places and recent searches at any time, clear your browser storage, or ask us to access, correct or delete your account. Depending on where you live (for example California or New Jersey), you may have additional privacy rights; we will honor verified requests.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
